'Lips Like Sugar'
SO, this is my contest entry for the banner over on Helovia. The contest is supposed to represent/be based on restoration so I took the typical routecause I'm not creativeand based it being the first sunrise after months and months of eternal darkness (a plot that's currently going on.) The hair too -way- too long and frustrated me to great extents. Not sure how I feel about this, since I've stared at it for so long.
The title has nothing to do with the image, I just couldn't think of anything (as usual) so went through song names.Statistics

time taken: guessing around 10 ish hours

Overall Vision Originality Technique Impactthis work has such a strong standpoint of depth and tone to it, i love the way this artist has displated the contrast of light and shadow of darkness. The background scenery itself is well thought out and structured and as for the main thing the horse, in my mind it pictures as if it's turning away from the light into the dark path as if the poor horse has lost all hope.
Such a beautiful picture, the one thing i'd change about it is the landscape could consist of more scnenery of plants other living things, other than that a great piece. Going straight to favourites! <img src="e.deviantart.net/emoticons/s/s…" width="15" height="15" alt="
